About

Awaken your potential

I want to help you reach your goals – whether this is starting yoga, completing a peak pose, or finding a sense of calm in a world of noise – I’m here to help support your journey.

Yoga is not about comparison – yoga is a self-led path to reach your own goals.

The physical practice will challenge and energise you, the meditative aspects will keep your mind resilient to the changing nature of the world around you, breathwork will ground and regulate your nervous system.

Yoga with Izzie

I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2020 and since then I have continued to expand my knowledge and deepen my practice through ongoing study and additional qualifications.

Following my own experiences of pregnancy and early motherhood, I became certified in Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga. I am passionate about supporting individuals through this powerful and transformative time with practices that are nurturing, empowering, and accessible.

My teaching style is grounded in breath-led movement, offering a balance of strength and softness, mobility and stillness, mindfulness and flow. I teach a range of styles including Vinyasa, Yin, and Yoga Nidra, and aim to create inclusive, supportive spaces where students can connect with themselves and their bodies—whatever stage of life they’re in.

Meaning of Yoga

As my yoga teacher training came to an end, I was asked what yoga means. It seems quite a simple question and there is an obvious answer.

The obvious answer is the translation which is most commonly translated to be union. This is interpreted to be the union of the mind, body, and spirit as we find most yoga practice encompasses all three aspects.

Sometimes yoga practice is just being with the self – breathing normally and nothing else. Letting the craziness of the world wash over you, through you, and then maybe you can come back to yourself. Maybe as a result you start to feel a bit lighter and asana practice, or a walk, or connecting with friends and family then seems possible. That’s not to say that movement should be shunned and sitting still is going to heal you – find what works for you, in that moment, and listen to what your body and mind really need.

Every person and every day is different, tuning into the self and nurturing what you really need takes time and practice.

Learning how to breathe deeply, let go, and bring softness into my yoga practice has allowed me to bring all these aspects into my everyday life. It’s a work in progress and that is what yoga means to me right now.
