Why I Teach
There wasn’t a single moment. It was more of a slow accumulation — a growing sense that the thing yoga had quietly given me was too good not to share and an opportunity at the right time, in the right place.
My Journey to the Mat
I came to yoga the way a lot of people do: a little lost, a little stressed, looking for something physical that might also help with the other stuff. What I found was more than I expected. Not a quick fix, but a practice. Something that asked me to slow down, pay attention, and trust that stillness could be productive.
Over time, yoga changed the way I approached life. I became more able to notice what I was feeling without immediately needing to escape it. I slept better. I breathed better. I started to carry the practice off the mat — into how I parent, how I communicate, how I rest. In times of difficulty, it’s been a grounding practice that’s enabled me to regulate my nervous system and come back from burnout.
That’s what I want to offer my students. Not just a good workout. Not just a moment of calm. But a practice they can carry with them.
Why Postnatal Mum & Baby Yoga?
Becoming a mother is extraordinary. It’s also disorienting, physical, relentless, and often deeply lonely — even when you’re surrounded by people who love you.
My postnatal yoga training came directly from my own experience of navigating that season. I wanted to create a space that new mothers could arrive at exactly as they are: tired, recovering, tender — and still leave feeling a little more themselves. The Mum & Baby class is as much about community as it is about yoga. The conversations that happen in that room matter just as much as the movement.
Who I Teach
Everyone is welcome in my classes. I’m particularly experienced supporting:
- Complete beginners who’ve always thought “yoga isn’t for me”
- People returning to movement after injury, illness, or postnatal recovery
- Those navigating stress, anxiety, or burnout
- Pregnant women and new mothers at any stage
- Anyone who wants movement that feels kind
If you’re unsure whether my classes are right for you, please just ask.
